Finally, the reforestation workshop with aromatic and fruit plants will be held on May 5th. The activity will be carried out with children from the municipalities near the quarry. Almonds (Prunus dulcis) will be planted on the edge of the estate. These fruit trees have traditionally been unique elements of these territories, eminently agricultural. The almonds were used for their consumption, and the tree was used to separate the boundaries between the plots to create refuge areas for other species of fauna and flora, thus becoming ecological corridors. The aromatic species that we will use (rosemary or thyme) are typical species of the area, and in addition to their use in traditional cuisine, they play a basic role as attractors of pollinating insects.
