As a result, we told students of 8-11 grades about environmental problems in our region and about the way that chemists and analysts help to solve them. The scholars conducted chemical experiments to find lead salts in the soil. We also told them that it’s important not to pollute the soil and not to throw out household items containing heavy metals in places which are not aimed for it. In addition, we determined the pH level of various detergents and household cleaning chemicals and compared their effects on human skin, determined the presence and amount of vitamin C in freshly squeezed and reconstituted orange juice.
